FELINE STOMATITIS/LPGS
Feline Stomatitis can also be called Lymphocyte Plasmacytic Gingivitis Stomatitis (LPGS). LPGS is a terrible disorder of the dental cavity in a few cats. These cats create an allergic response to the plaque around their teeth. This result results in very bad inflammation at the junction in which the tooth satisfies the gum line.
CAUSE
The actual cause is unknown. These cats are negative for Feline Leukemia and immunodeficiency Virus and The diet is not a component. Calici Virus has been found but the significance of its isn’t known. Specific purebreds including Abyssinians, Burmese, Himalayans, Persians, Somali and Siamese are prone.
SYMPTOMS
* Bad breath.
* Difficulty chewing hard food (may just eat soft foods).
